Half Way
Finally finished the semester! This is something I drew for one of the most time consuming project that got a bit rushed.. but I was happy with this little part.
The last week was rough; this image pretty much sums it all up:

Sharni Brear, The Voice Kick Start Comp Finalist
I just got reminded through my other blog that I hadn’t posted on Tumblr yet about the Kick Start competition… oops. Folio due time makes my head all over the place. The panel of judges have stuck me in as a finalist, which is so flattering! It took me over a week to even realize that I was nominated haha.
If I win I get to fulfill my dream of attending fashion week in New York to get some inspiration for my fashion illustrations, but I’m ignoring thinking about it because I might pass out from excitement hahah! If you feel like winning a double pass to go to the voice finals maybe follow the link and vote for Sharni Brear, it would mean the world. Even going to Sydney last year for the Rimmel competition was the biggest event of my life haha, so I can’t even comprehend this at the moment.
Dreams are fun! Even if they stay as dreams :)
Click Me Like I’ve Never Been Clicked Before
Ok, let’s be honest, you’re probably going to look at the image and if you think it’s cool you’re going to click the little love-heart icon and quickly move on, right?
WELL, NOT THIS TIME!
Instead you’re going to go HERE and take two minutes out of your busy life to vote for Sharni! ‘Why?’ Uh, cos I said so? Haha, kidding.. but why not? You have a chance to win backstage tickets and good karma will be knocking at ya door!
Anyway, if you do or don’t, thank you!
We, ‘artists’, on Tumblr do appreciate your support.. even if it’s just by clicking a little heart next to our work - it does wonders for our ego haha
Some Two Cents
I came across a photo of a friend and I really liked it so I made something out of it.
What I liked was how happy she looked - genuinely happy. I know it’s easier said than done sometimes, but be happy! You only live once (Sorry, I know, I hate ‘YOLO’ as much as the next guy). You have a one way, non-refundable ticket on a short ride. Don’t waste your time and energy being sad over silly, little things. Smile and get on with your life.
TTFN, ta ta for now!
Keep Up
TKKDOUT goodness straight to ya phone on Instagram! And no extra calories!!!
I’ve uploaded a sneak preview of the recently finished collab so follow me to check it out!
I’ll be updating this with random/unfinished/in progress/never-will-finish art stuff and general antics I get up to with my homies
Peace ooooouuut
Or Maybe a Cup of Concrete?
So I spent today finishing the collab with Sharni and it is looking pretty damn good!
While she did her part, I thought I’d work on a quick sketch; I saw these words floating around in her sketchbook and had a little play around. Nothing special but better than nothing!
Collab will be up soon so keep up~
Also, click here if you enjoy reading long, complicated words along side nice art
Churrrrr
Check this ballin piece of digital badassery by my mate Empire! He’s a little new and unknown in the e-hood but he’s a class A Photoshop wizard so I highly recommend you keep up with his blog!
Advocator Of Awesome
Another product of procrastination and having a go at an Eleven-esque render~
This is how I’d look if I was a superhero.. or if I wore tight clothing haha not
‘Mum, No! You Stay Here!’
Hope everyone had a good Mother’s Day and thanked her for putting up with your endless bullshit~
This is something I made on Illustrator - brotherly love. It’s a shame I don’t show my dashing looks *sigh haha
Hissroar, The Almighty
Paste up submission for a burger place in Brunswick East called ‘Beast’.
Apparently they make fierce burgers (couldn’t help the pun.. or should I say bun haha) so definitely go have one while you enjoy the artwork on the surrounding walls!
Minxy Hangs
Finally had the pleasure of catching up with the ever so delightful, caring-ly indecisive, direction impaired, Toolies veteran, and free spirit, Sharni for our collab, which turned out to be a good day… I hope haha
Here’s a little sneaky snap of some progress -
Going to look ‘babein’ so keep in the loop!
